Celebrity Big Brother returns to TV screens in January and this time the housemates will be locked up for longer in an attempt to send them off the rails.

In all eight housemates will go into the house, instead of six last time, and the run has been extended to two weeks.

Producers hope more time in the house will provoke more classic TV scenes in the style of previous housemates Vanessa Feltz, who famously cracked up and scrawled on the kitchen table, and Les Dennis, who broke down talking about his marriage problems.

The final line-up is still a secret, though ex-footballer Frank McAvennie, model Victoria Silvstedt and Sven-Goran Eriksson's partner Nancy Dell'Olio have all been approached.
