Love Island bosses are reportedly working on an all-stars version of the hit ITV2 dating show which would see some of the biggest past contestants return to the villa.

Some of the names which are said to have been discussed include fifth series star Maura Higgins, 32, series six contestant, Rochelle Humes‘ sister Sophie Piper, 23, and series two star Kady McDermott, 27.

Also believed to be in the mix are series three winner Kem Cetinay, 26, and Scott Thomas, 28, from series two.

A source told The Sun: “Love Island All Stars is in development at ITV and it is a concept they have been talking about.

“This summer’s series marks the 10th series of the show and ITV thinks there is an appetite for the concept.

“The plan would be to invite some of the sexiest and most successful former islanders to see if they can find love for a second time around.”

According to the publication, the special series could air as early as next year, but TV execs want to wait and see how well this year’s all-stars spin-off of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! does before officially giving it the green light.

There is no mention whether Maya Jama, 28 — who hosts the current series of the show, Winter Love Island, which is being filmed in South Africa — will front the proposed spin-off.

She will, however, return for the summer series in Mallorca in June.

The Standard has contacted ITV for comment.
