Lovebirds Maxwell and Saskia will be split up on Friday after both were nominated for eviction in this week's Big Brother.

Saskia received four nominations and Maxwell got five.

When their names were read out, Maxwell sat in stunned silence while Saskia shook her head in disbelief.

She told the others she was upset and left the room to walk around the garden on her own.

Saskia is the bookies' favourite to go this Friday. Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush said she was paying the price for her slanging match with Makosi over some missing bottles of cider.

"Saskia may be the apple of Maxwell's eye but we think she'll pay the price for Cidergate," he said. "She blew her chances of surviving by tearing into Makosi. If she hadn't, it would have probably been goodbye Maxwell. She's only got herself to blame."

She was nominated by Derek, Kemal, Makosi and Vanessa. Derek said: "Her presence in the house is very divisive. The tension in this house has increased and I'm starting to think it's because of her."

He also branded her "one of the laziest women I've ever had the misfortune to come across".

Kemal said Saskia was "playing a very dirty game. She is sly and manipulative. She wants to win badly and she's using other people for her own gain," he said.

Makosi said: "She has pretended to like me for five weeks and yesterday I saw a different person."

And Vanessa said of Saskia: "She's very sly and malicious, she's a conniving bitch. She has made no effort at all to be friends with girls in this house. She doesn't even fancy Maxwell, she's just using him."

Maxwell was nominated by Derek, Kemal, Science and Vanessa.

His arch-enemy Science said: "I just don't like him. He's said disrespectful things to me. He can never be serious. He likes to be the village idiot."

Vanessa said: "He walks around like he owns the house. I don't appreciate the jokes he says behind my back. We liked each other, but he's changed since then."

Kemal also agreed Maxwell was now a different person.

"He has changed and the Maxwell you see in there is the result of a moulded Maxwell, by Saskia. He's allowing himself to be controlled because he's a weak man," he said.

Derek said Maxwell and Saskia were part of the same problem in the house.
Big Brother barred Maxwell and Anthony from voting after they were caught discussing nominations.

New housemates Eugene and Orlaith were exempt from this week's nominations.
Saskia sounded off about Makosi again when making her nominations.

"I can't stand her. She thinks she's the queen of the house, she's so high and mighty," she fumed. "She is a wind-up merchant and a drama queen."

Kemal has received the fewest number of nominations so far - he has been nominated only twice since the series started and is now joint favourite with Makosi to win.
