Matt Hancock’s girlfriend Gina Coladangelo flies out to await jungle reunion

Matt Hancock’s girlfriend Gina Coladangelo was on Wednesday jetting to Australia to be reunited with the former health secretary when he leaves the I’m a Celebrity jungle.

The 45-year-old was pictured at Heathrow Airport last night before boarding a plane to Brisbane.

Hancock’s cabinet career ended when CCTV footage was leaked, showing the pair in a passionate embrace in his ministerial office — breaking coronavirus social distancing rules.

Coladangelo, who was working as a ministerial aide to Hancock at the time, subsequently left her businessman husband, while Hancock left his wife and mother of his three children after the affair became public.

The MP has endured a hellish time in the jungle. The public voted for him to take part in a series of gruesome bushtucker trials, while yesterday campaigners flew a banner over the camp saying “Covid bereaved say get out of here!” He is among the favourites to be voted out when the eviction process starts.

In a conversation with comedian Babatúndé Aléshé, Hancock said, “I messed up and I fessed up. I resigned and it’s no excuse but I fell in love,” prompting the comic to tell him: “You were grabbing booty bruv.”
