Monroe's lesbian fling with Joan
Hollywood screen goddess Marilyn Monroe had a lesbian fling with fellow actress Joan Crawford, it has been revealed.
In recordings never made public before, the Some Like it Hot bombshell confesses to having sex with Crawford, although their subsequent affair was short-lived.
"She described an intimate moment in some detail and how she and Joan had sex," said author Matthew Smith, who had exclusive access to the tapes.
On the recording, Monroe reveals how she eventually dumped Crawford: "I told her straight out I didn't much enjoy doing it with a woman. After I turned her down she became spiteful."
The tapes were made as part of Monroe’s psychological therapy treatment, and have now been handed over to Smith, who is writing a book on the troubled legend.
