Pete Doherty has revealed intimate new details of his tempestuous relationship with Kate Moss and his descent from an aspiring poet addicted to fried chicken to a rock star hooked on crack.

The Babyshambles frontman describes Moss as "Kate my love Kate my sweet," but admits the couple have furious rows as he continues to battle against drugs.

Extracts from the diaries, published today, The Books of Albion, also reveal details of his lifestyle and his turbulent relationship with the press.

In his diaries, the troubled rocker describes Moss as 'my love'

Moss, who recently appeared with her boyfriend in a bizarre, expletive filled YouTube video dressed in army uniforms, also contributed a brief entry in the journal.

She writes: "You have touched my heart and soul, little f***er I wish you wouldn't ring my door now go I could kiss you again and float way. You make me high, my sweet, my skin shivers and longs to be held by you."

The entries begin with Doherty aged 20 arriving in London to perform poetry and launch his first band The Libertines.

He added: "I must try to surround myself with a few more stable and sure characters, lest I allow the worst in me to be dragged out and pampered."

The diaries tell how he fell in love with Moss in 2005.

He adds: "(I've) never seen anything like it in my life she's amazing dancing rolling her shoulders in her cut up dress I'm so wrong I know but if she loves me I'll scream with joy..."

But they have rows including one on the way home from Paris.

He writes: "Kate and I f***ing and fighting all the way on the Eurostar until finally blood runs down my palm and up my head and before I leg it to oblivion leaving her at the station calling me a this that and the other."

After he was fitted with anti heroin implants, he retreated to Moss's house in the country - but it sparked more rows.

He writes: "My dear sweet love would appear to be in somewhat of a rage, (saying) You're sat here in your hovel in your own sh**, wallowing in self-indulgence."

The book is published just as Doherty and Moss, 33, appear in a YouTube video dressed in army uniform, describing themselves as the KP Nuts and shouting four-letter words.
