Neighbours is finally coming to an end after being on the air for 37 years.

The show will come to a close with the finale episodes airing at 9 pm Friday, 29 July, on Channel 5.

While fans are sure to be disappointed that Channel 5 axed the show, the show’s creators are making sure that the soap will go out with a bang–by bringing back a whole bunch of famous faces.

The Australian soap launched the careers of a number of household names, including Jason Donovan, Kylie Minogue, Margot Robbie, Guy Pearce, Russell Crowe, and Liam Hemsworth.

Now, the final Neighbours episode will feature the return of long-time fan favourite characters like Scott and Charlene, which means that mega stars like Kylie Minogue and Jason Donavan are set to appear.

But they’re not the only celebrities returning to Erinsborough for the finale. Find out who else fans can expect to see below.

Neighbours: Final Episode

1/20

Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan

Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan will return as iconic Neighbours couple Scott and Charlene, to the delight of fans.

Executive producer Jason Herbison stated: "Scott and Charlene are the ultimate Neighbours couple and it would not feel right to end the show without them.

“We are thrilled that Jason and Kylie have come home to play a very special part in our series finale. It has been an emotional experience for them, for us and I’m sure it will be for our viewers."

Guy Pearce

Guy Pearce is returning to Erinsborough, sending the hearts of  Mike Young fans racing.

According to Digital Spy, the Emmy-award-winning actor said: "It's really lovely to be working again with the likes of Paul Keane, Annie Jones, Stefan [Dennis] of course, Geoff Paine, Peter O’Brien – it’s just remarkable.

"I’m an incredibly nostalgic person anyway so I’ve always wanted to step back onto the show at some stage and of course with the sad news that the show is finishing, it seemed like the appropriate time.

"Thankfully I was planning a trip back home anyway, so it just worked."

Neighbours TV Series

1/26

Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie will appear as Donna Freedman–a role she played from 2008 until 2011.

The actress–who is set to play Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming movie–couldn’t make it to Australia for the filming. But she is thought to have filmed a “special clip” that will be shown during the finale.

Delta Goodrem

Singer, songwriter, and actress Delta Goodrem will be back as Nina Tucker, who she played in 2002.

When it was announced that Neighbours would be cancelled, Goodrem wrote on Instagram: "It truly is the end of an era Neighbours. The show was a true school of the industry for so many people’s paths including mine!!

"The moment of Nina singing Born To Try for the first time stayed with me forever. The start of it all."

Jesse Spencer

Chicago Fire star Jesse Spencer will appear in the final episode. He played teenager Billy Kennedy in the 1990s, before going on to work on TV shows in the US, such as House and then Chicago Fire.
