Oasis and teenage soul sensation Joss Stone have been added to the line-up of the V Festival.

Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand and New York band Scissor Sisters have already been booked for the annual August event.

The Gallagher brothers will be headlining the main stage at this year's festival, now in its tenth year.

Other acts include Mercury Prize winner Dizzee Rascal, NME Awards holder Kaiser Chiefs, rock legend Robert Plant, and The Zutons.

Last year, the likes of Keane, Dido, The Pixies and Snow Patrol all performed at the festival, which takes place in Weston Park, Staffordshire, and Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex.

The full line-up also includes Embrace, Maroon 5, Ian Brown, Texas, Athlete, Jet, The Bravery, Goldie Lookin' Chain, The Prodigy, Doves, Thirteen Senses, The Music, Goldfrapp, and 22-20s.

Virgin Radio will broadcast the August 20 and 21 event.
