Orlando Bloom surprised revellers in a Windsor pub on Friday night when he picked up the mic and sang a traditional Irish folk song for St. Patrick’s Day.

The 46-year-old had onlookers doing a double take as he took to the stage at The Alma pub to perform She Moved Through the Fair.

The Lord of the Rings Star was clad in a navy blue baseball cap and matching jacket as he gave a rousing rendition of the tune, which was captured on camera by Capital FM’s Chris Stark.

Before sharing the clip, Stark first tweeted: “It’s honestly not the Guinness talking but Orlando Bloom has just started singing Irish songs in the pub I’m in…

“He’s actually really good.”

Later posting a short video of Bloom singing, he added: “To my mate: I’m fairly p***ed but I’m sure that’s Orlando Bloom belting out an Irish tune…

“My mate: It is…”

In response to the clip going viral, Bloom’s fiancée Katy Perry reshared the video and wrote, “what a ledge”.

It has been reported that the screen star was back in the UK to attend the funeral of the father of his friend Craig McEvoy.

McEvoy, who is a member of the band Juice of the Barley, told The Sun: “Dad was like a father figure to him.”

The actor’s appearance comes a month after he admitted that his and Perry’s relationship can be “really challenging” sometimes.

The Carnival Row star admitted that coming from two different industries, acting and music, means that they don’t always “understand” one another.

Speaking to Flaunt magazine, he shared: “We’re in two very different pools. Her pool is not a pool that I necessarily understand, and I think my pool is not a pool that she necessarily understands.”

Although being from different worlds might cause tensions from time-to-time, Bloom said he also thought the couple were very “blessed” to have found one another, before joking that there’s “never a dull moment” between them.

He added: “Sometimes things are really, really, really, challenging. I won’t lie. We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity.

“I think we’re both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did at the time that we did, and there’s definitely never a dull moment.”

Perry and Bloom first started dating in 2016 before splitting over a year later in 2017.

After getting back together in 2018, they got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 and welcomed daughter Daisy in August 2020.
