Peter Andre today renamed two abandoned pets at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

The singer gave a King Charles spaniel and a beagle the names Mr Peabody and Sherman, after the stars of a new animated movie.

Andre, 40, wrote a song called Kid for the soundtrack to the new film, which follows Mr Peabody, the most accomplished dog in the world, his owner Sherman, and their time machine.

The singer, who has recently become a father for the third time, has previously adopted pugs from the “fantastic charity”. And he said of the newly named dogs: “We want to find them a fantastic home.”
