Pippa Middleton is taking her turn in the spotlight as she gears up to walk down the aisle with fiancé James Matthews at a lavish ceremony in Berkshire.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister, who stole the show at the Royal Wedding back in 2011 in an Alexander McQueen bridesmaid dress, is rumoured to have chosen designer-to-the-stars Giles Deacon to create her bridal gown for Saturday's ceremony.

Known for his dramatic prints and modern twists on tradition, Deacon has dressed some of the biggest stars in the world at events including Cannes, the Met Ball and the Emmy Awards.

Here are his most famous celebrity looks:

1. Abbey Clancy

All eyes were on the model-turned-presenter as she wed Premiere League footballer Peter Crouch back in 2011.

She opted for a modern strapless white fishtail gown, which reportedly set her back £10,000.

Clancy has since repaid the favour by walking for Deacon in a number of his London Fashion Week shows.

2. Cate Blanchett

The Australian Oscar-winner was the toast of Cannes in 2015 when she arrived on the red carpet to promote Todd Haynes’ Carol.

Deacon jokingly called the statement dress a “digital Tudor collage” as it consisted of digitally altered images from the Rijksmuseum and one of a pearl Tudor necklace.

“To choose to wear an independent British label and pieces is absolutely fantastic," he said at the time. "She's got the pick of the world and she chose us. I couldn't be happier.”

3. Sarah Jessica Parker

The Sex and the City style icon chose to wear Deacon to the biggest style event of the year.

SJP wore a stand-out Deacon creation to the 2013 Met Ball in New York, adding even more drama to proceedings with a Philip Treacy punk-inspired head piece.

4. Kate Hudson

For the 2015 US InStyle Awards, the actress chose a delicate floor-length Deacon gown, adorned with a foxglove print.

The fitted, blush-coloured dress was described as a take on the “English garden” and featured 3D withered petals.

5. Solange Knowles

One of the most dramatic of his celebrity creations was Solange’s 2015 Met Ball gown, which was lauded as one of the most daring of the event.

With an optical illusion print design, the structured custom piece from the Giles A/W 15 collection was perfect for the China: Through The Looking Glass theme.

Pippa and Matthew are expected to tie the knot at 11.30am on Saturday at St Mark’s Church in Englefield.

The couple have invited 130 guests and the service will be conducted by Rev Nick Wynne-Jones, before the party head to her parent’s home for a marquee reception.
