Police start BB racism interviews with Dani

Celebrity Big Brother contestants are to be quizzed in the ongoing race row over the reality show.

Seven celebrities are to be interviewed over bullying and alleged racist remarks aimed at Bollywood actress and BB winner Shilpa Shetty.

It is believed Danielle Lloyd, Jade Goody, Jade's mum Jackiey Budden, Jo O'Meara, Dirk Benedict, Jermaine Jackson and Shilpa will be spoken to by officers.

Hertfordshire Police said: "We will be interviewing the housemates and that was always the case."

It comes as model Danielle, 23, spent about three hours with two officers at a meeting at her solicitor's office in London.

But the police investigation has been criticised as a waste of resources.

Tory MP Derek Conway said: "The alleged victim Shilpa Shetty has said publicly it wasn't racism and seems to regard the matter closed.

"I am surprised the police haven't got better things to do, frankly. All it is doing is exacerbating the situation."
