'Relocation, Relocation' has been axed.

Hosts Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer have agreed not to make any more episodes of the programme - which sees the pair help couples buy a second home - because the current economic downturn means few people can afford extra properties.

A source said: "Phil and Kirstie have made the decision not to make any more 'Relocation, Relocatin' shows.

"In this current climate, it's hard enough for people to buy one house, let alone two."

The pair are concentrating on other projects, but will also make new episodes of original series 'Location, Location, Location'.

A show spokesperson told The Sun: "Kirstie and Phil are busy filming 'Kirstie's Handmade Britain' and 'Secret Agent' - both on air this autumn - as well as a new series of 'Location' for 2012.

Kirstie recently admitted she has started to reassess her work schedule because of the time she spends away from home.

Speaking about 'Kirstie's Homemade Britain', she said: "I think it's been very tough. After the last 18 months, I've come to a time now where I'm reviewing the amount of time I spend away.

"For example, when I did the Great Yorkshire Show, I missed my son's sports day. It was raining on the day he was supposed to have his sports day, and they postponed it to another day.

"And you can't move the Great Yorkshire Show. I really enjoyed going around the country to all the shows, but if I was to do another series of this, I would want to be learning the crafts themselves in London before going off to the shows."
