JK Rowling has spoken of her 'excitement and dread' at writing the seventh and final Harry Potter book.

The author admitted: 'I cannot quite imagine life without Harry.' But work on the follow-up to Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince will begin next month, added the Scot, 40.

She said: 'I contemplate the task with mingled feelings of excitement and dread because I cannot wait to get started.'
