Katy Perry is making Russell Brand sell his London bachelor pad.

The comic star - who proposed to the 'California Gurls' singer in India on New Year's Eve following a whirlwind romance - has put his £2.5 million home up for sale after Katy told him she was unhappy with the amount of girls he had bedded in the property.

A friend of the couple revealed: "Now they are getting married, Katy didn't feel comfortable with the amount of girls who knew where Russell lived - and of course the history it carries."

The pal told the Daily Mirror: "And Russell has moved on now. He wants to make a home for them to romp in. When he has been in London recently he had been staying in Claridge's hotel instead so that he could sell the house."

The 2000 sq ft house - which is located in the city's exclusive Hampstead area - boasts four bedrooms, a giant yoga room, a hot tub with a built-in flat screen TV, gothic-inspired fireplaces and a landscaped garden.

It is believed a buyer has already been found for the property and the couple are now looking at homes in New York.

The friend revealed: "It is so stunning it has been snapped up. He hopes the person who buys it has as much fun there as he has done."
