Ruth Langsford has broken her silence on claims there is a feud among the Loose Women panel.

The TV presenter, 62, admitted there had been a few “heated discussions” when she addressed the rumours during an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine on Monday.

Speaking to host Lorraine Kelly, she said: "We have some heated discussions, but we don’t fall out. Somehow people just love to pit women against women, don’t they.

"We do disagree about things, but then five minutes later we laugh and talk about something else.

"We’re such a diverse group of women, different age groups, different views and different opinions on things.

"So many times I go on that show, I think one thing and by the end of the discussion I’ve changed my mind.”

The ITV daytime show has been at the centre of several “feud” reports over the years.

Elsewhere in the interview, she praised Deborah James for her spirit and determination as the campaigner receives end of life care for bowel cancer.

Gushing, the wife of Eamonn Holmes hailed it as an “honour” meeting the dame at Royal Ascot last week.

”I love her. It was amazing to see her there. That smile she has literally beams and shines. She had her hat on, her make-up on,” she said.

“I was talking to her about her charity, which has done incredibly well. She just seems to have that spirit even though she knows she’s dying.”

She added: “She just carries on. It was such an honour to meet her.”
