Sienna Miller told a court today how she felt "hunted" by "frenzied" paparazzi pursuing her after last year's Bafta awards.

The Hollywood star feared the photographers wanted to follow her to her new home so they could hound her around the clock, West London Magistrates' Court heard.

Miller said at least five paparazzi followed her car after she left celebrity hangout Boujis in West London following the ceremony on February 12 last year.

Scared: Sienna Miller said she felt frightened after she and friend Otis Ferry were targeted by photographers last year

The actress' court appearance came the morning after she appeared at this year's Bafta awards.

Her evidence played a key part in clearing the name of her friend Otis Ferry, who was found not guilty of criminal damages.

Ferry, 25, is the son of Roxy Music singer Bryan Ferry.

She told the court: "We were all quite shocked at the way they were driving.

"The reason they were being that reckless is that they wanted to find out where I lived, which makes you feel quite hunted as a woman."

The actress was giving evidence at the trial of Otis Ferry, who removed the keys from the cars of two of the pursuing photographers.

Miller, who was wearing a short black skirt and a black jacket over a black blouse decorated with a bow, patted Ferry on the shoulder as she entered and left the court.

She said she, her friend Brad, Ferry and his brother Isaac, left Boujis at about 4.30am after the Baftas to be confronted by "aggressive" paparazzi.

Describing her fear as she ran to her car, Miller said: "In any situation if you are a woman and you are running and there are men chasing you, it's a threatening situation."

She said she had just bought a new house, adding: "They hadn't found out where I lived yet and the privacy was really lovely for a week.

Cleared: Sienna Miller's testimony helped clear the name of her friend Otis Ferry

"Part of the aggression and pursuit that then happened was as a result of them trying to find out my new address."

During the pursuit, the star telephoned Ferry to ask his brother to try to get between her car and the photographers so she could get away.

She said the photographers were "really aggressive, driving really dangerously, undercutting, overtaking, flashing through the window at a moving vehicle.

"I believe it was particularly frenzied on this occasion because they didn't know where I lived."

Miller was asked about her relationship with Ferry's brother but was reluctant to go into detail.

She told the court: "It wasn't exactly a relationship. We were friends. That's a personal question."

Ferry earlier described her as his brother's girlfriend at the time of the incident.
