Kelly Clarkson got Sofia Vergara's back up when she suggested that her physical transformation into "Cocaine Godmother" Griselda Blanco for her new Netflix series was "slight".

In a clip shared on The Kelly Clarkson Show's TikTok, the astounded Colombian star, 51, told the chat show host to "shut up" as she then went on to educate her in how long the process actually took.

"This is incredible… I feel like they only changed your nose or something," Clarkson began, to which a taken aback Vergara replied, "What?" followed by, "Are you crazy?"

"Whatever they did though, it looks slight," continued Clarkson.

"No Kelly, it was hours," the America's Got Talent judge corrected her while the audience laughed.

"They did a lot to me! It was teeth. It was wig. It was nose. It was plastic from here to here!"

When Clarkson continued to try to put her point across, Vergara totally shut her down, saying: "It was a wig! Shut up. It was a wig. It was a lot!"

Attempting to dig herself out of a hole, Clarkson clarified that she thought the hairstylists and makeup artists "did such a good job that it looks seamless."

The controversial new Netflix series Griselda was released on Thursday after being met with mixed reviews.

Vergara stars as Miami's "Cocaine Godmother" Griselda Blanco in the six-part series, which tells the story of how Blanco's legendary reign paved the way for the most infamous Colombian cartel. She was killed in Colombia in 2012.

The actress along with Netflix are being sued by the family of Blanco.

According to court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, the family says they did not authorise the use of their images and sought to block the series from airing.
