CCTV footage has been released of Beyoncé’s sister Solange attacking her brother-in-law Jay-Z in an elevator at the Met Gala in New York last Monday.

Solange, who is also a singer, was caught on surveillance lashing out at rapper Jay-Z and being restrained in the small elevator by a bodyguard when the trio were leaving the Met Gala party.

In the video Beyoncé appeared to stay out of the altercation, standing motionless next to her husband while her sister lashed out.

In the footage, which was leaked to celebrity gossip website TMZ.com, Jay-Z did not appear to retaliate to Solange’s attacks. The bodyguard who was present at the time of the attack can be seen pressing the emergency stop buttons, to keep the fight from spilling out into the hotel.

At the end of the video you can see the bodyguard split Jay-Z and Solange up, herding Jay-Z out of the lift on his own, with Beyonce and her sister following behind.

Beyonce and Solange were then put into a car together, while Jay-Z left on his own with the bodyguard.
