You may be used to having a curry after a big session at the pub, but have you ever considered a pre-meal yoga session to whet your appetite?

This weekend you could move to a different spiritual plane with Vama's cleansing workshops. The King's Road restaurant, 'a modern Indian restaurant that serves Punjabi food with a North-West Frontier accent', is offering to purify the body, spirit and mind with the help of famous yoga teacher Bharat Thakur and a special cleansing vegetarian lunch prepared by award-winning chef Andy Varma.

At the Vama one-day workshops, students will participate in a two and a half hour yoga session, followed by the special lunch of natural ayurvedic spices, healing herbs and root vegetables. To round off the day Thakur will lead the group in a two and a half hour meditation and chanting session to complete the feeling of enlightenment and well-being.

If this tickles your Tikka contact Vama on 020 7565 8500.

Vama, 438 King's road, Sat 8th and Sun 9th June, £60, call 020 7565 8500.
