Strictly Come Dancing’s festive special is just around the corner – oh, how time flies – and it has already confirmed a number of the celebrities set to appear.

This festive season, six brand-new contestants will take to the floor in an attempt to be crowned the Christmas Champion of 2022. Alongside one of the Strictly pros, each celeb will perform a Christmas-inspired routine to impress the judges and the voting audience.

But, who will compete and how can I watch the special?

Here’s everything you need to know.

Who are the contestants on the Strictly Come Dancing Special?

Strictly Come Dancing‘s festive special has signed up Rickie Haywood-Williams and Rosie Ramsey, three years after her husband, Chris Ramsay, appeared on the show.

Radio 1 DJ Haywood-Williams said: “I have watched Strictly over the years and always said I’d be too scared to do it. But here I am ready to go for it, sequins and all.”

Ramsey will be paired with professional dancer Neil Jones, while Haywood-Williams will dance with Luba Mushtuk.

Nicola Roberts, the Girls Aloud singer and first-series winner of The Masked Singer UK will also be making an appearance paired with Italian dancer Gioavanni Pernice.

Former Coronation Street star Alexandra Mardell, actor Larry Lamb, and an unnamed sixth celebrity are also included in the line-up. Lamb will be paired with Nadiya Bychkova, while Mardell will be dancing with Kai Widdrington.

When is the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special on TV?

The Christmas special will air on Christmas Day, with no air time confirmed yet.

The normal judges – Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas – will return to help decide who lifts the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas trophy.
