Thousands heard her and Kylie Minogue, as Mayor Michael Bloomberg turned on 30,000 energy-efficient bulbs.

Mariah Carey kicked off the show singing Oh Santa and Jessica Simpson gave a rendition of I'll Be Home For Christmas.

More than 50,000 people watched the event live in NYC.
