This looks like another great new residency - and it's free. Spitkingdom Soundsystem have been wowing audiences around the world, performing onstage with the likes of OutKast, the Neptunes and Busta Rhymes, while also being holed up in the studio working with some massive names, including Stereo MC's, Goldie and Artful Dodger. Their essence is a crew of people all ensuring a complete mix of urban musical styles.

Tuesdays, down at Herbal, will see the team joined by a range of people who Spitkingdom work and play with. Should be loads of fun.

Names already being promised include the likes of Rob Birch, DMC winners the Mixologists, DJ Vadim from Ninja Tune, the beautiful Neneh Cherry, Mr Thing, Plus One and Shortee Blitz. They're putting a lot of work into this midweek night out East - and it looks like it's paying off.

  • Tue 27 Jan, 9pm-1am Herbal, 12-14 Kingsland Road, EC2 (020-7613 4462)
