A famous Spanish chief has accused Victoria Beckham of causing him grief at a celeb wedding with her dinner demands.

Dani Garcia, Malaga province’s first chef with three Michelin stars, claimed the former Spice Girl had “changed the whole menu” after former Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos tied the knot with his model and TV presenter wife Pilar Rubio.

Opening up on what it was like to deal with the 48-year-old fashion designer at the June 2019 wedding banquet near Seville, Garcia told an interviewer on national Spanish TV on Monday night: “It was very strange.

“Victoria Beckham changed the whole menu. It was very sad because when you make such an effort, not just me and my team but the bride and groom and everyone else to create a unique menu.

“Hers was totally different and just based around vegetables.

“And then there were some odd things that I’ve never seen in my life. She had coconut water, all the time, a bowl of mints and then on the other side hydroalcoholic gel which is very famous now but back then wasn’t because the Covid pandemic hadn’t started. It was complicated giving Victoria her menu that night.”

Marbella-born Dani, who was awarded his first Michelin star when he was just 25, made his comments about David Beckham’s wife on a popular evening show called El Hormiguero which the likes of Justin Bieber and Will Smith have guested on regularly over the years.

It is one of Spain’s most watched primetime programmes in its evening slot on the Antena 3 channel with around 2.5 million viewers.

Victoria Beckham’s odd eating habits have been the subject of intense scrutiny for years. During Euro 2004 she reportedly stuck to a diet of strawberries washed down with mineral water.

The mum-of-four has previously revealed she won’t eat food cooked in oil, butter or sauces and doesn’t eat red meat or dairy.

Last year she said her comfort food was whole grain toast with salt on it and admitted: “To most restaurants I’m probably their worst nightmare.”

Former England captain David confessed on the River Che Table 4 podcast earlier this year: “I get quite emotional about food and wine, when I’m eating something great I want everyone to try it.

“Unfortunately I’m married to someone that has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years.

“Since I met her she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables, she will very rarely deviate from that.”

Sergio Ramos, now with Paris Saint-Germain, became a dad for the fourth time in July 2020 with his stunning wife after they welcomed son Maximo Adriano into the world.

The Standard has approached Victoria Becham’s representative for further comment.
