Victoria Beckham showed off her latest collection at New York Fashion Week, declaring the dresses were designed to celebrate women's curves.

The 36-year-old former Spice Girl gave a select group of editors, stylists and buyers a preview of the spring 2011 collection at a mansion in Manhattan's Upper East Side yesterday.

The mother of three was among a raft of designers including Alexander Wang, Jill Stuart and Vivienne Tam presenting their collections as part of fashion week.

Wearing a black dress with cinched-in waist and shrunken cardigan, the singer-turned-designer impressed the fashion crowd with a running commentary on her designs, which include a white, strapless silk gown and a pink shift with an asymmetrical neckline.

The former Spice Girl said: "I just love what I do. I'm so passionate about fashion and the fact people are accepting me is really exciting.

"I've got a long way to go and I've got big dreams. For me it's about taking baby steps.

"I want to get it right. This season I'm adding handbags.

"I love women. I want to make women look beautiful and feel beautiful. I'm really enjoying the journey - I'm having a lot of fun."
