Wedding's off for Paris and Paris
The parents of hotel heiress Paris Hilton and shipping heir Paris Latsis can breathe a sigh of relief - the wedding's off.
After just five months, 24-year-old Paris Hilton has dumped Latsis, 26, despite his gift of a £2.9million wedding ring.
'We'll remain best of friends and I'll always love him,' she said.
The pair met as teenagers - but did not start dating until last December.
But rumours surfaced that the relationship was in trouble when Ms Hilton was spotted recently without the ring.
And they were fuelled by the sight of her out on the town with Scott Storch, the record producer of her debut album.
But the news should at least please both sets of parents.
His parents reportedly branded her as 'unsuitable' for their son, while her mother said: 'He lives in a $12m house and has no job.'
