Whistlestop tour for Will Smith

Hollywood superstar Will Smith will attend three premieres in one day to promote his new film later this month, it emerged today.

The actor - star of Men In Black and Independence Day - will be whisked between London, Birmingham and Manchester for separate screenings of his latest movie, Hitch.

He will start his whistle-stop tour at The Printworks in Manchester before racing to the UGC cinema in Broad Street, Birmingham, and on to the Odeon in Leicester Square, London, for the final Gala Premiere.

Organisers are expecting hundreds of fans to line red carpets at the venues on February 22 and temporary road closures have been negotiated.

The comedy, in which Smith plays a date doctor, is due to be released in cinemas across the UK on March 11.
