As the X Factor competition hots up we sample ten of the best bits from the show so far.

Jamie Archer's audition – The singer who says he simply does not know how to get into the music industry wows the judges.

Danyl Johnson's audition – Danyl Johnson delivers what Simon Cowell calls: The single best audition I've ever seen.'

Fouad Djaoublia – The Frenchman came to the X Factor in pursuit of his dream to become a famous singer. Sadly his Mariah Carey renditions won the crowd but not the judges.

Stacy Solomon audition – 19 year old Stacey Solomon proves to Simon and the rest of the judges that looks can be deceiving.

Kyle Campbell – Kyle comes to the X Factor driven by his love of singing, performing and Girls Aloud.

Eileen Chapman – 80 year old Eileen, after first appearing with no music, comes back on the show and takes a fancy to Simon.

Joseph McElderry – Cheryl Cole is pleased to hear a family accent when Joseph McElderry from Gateshead appears.

Daryl Markham – Daryl Markham delivers an emotional performance in memory of his brother.

Behrouz Ghaemi – Behrouz Ghaemi truly believes he can become as successful as Elvis Presley.

Alan Walton – Alan Walton from Weoley Castle attempts to make the step up from Karaoke.
