Ainsworth sets sights on United

Gareth Ainsworth has an extra incentive to help Wimbledon win their third-round FA Cup replay at Middlesbrough tomorrow and set up a fourth round clash with Manchester United.

He has never played against United although he was an unused substitute against the Reds four years ago.

Ainsworth said: "It was one of my first games for Wimbledon and I was gutted not to get on the pitch."

The midfielder, who has had groin and ankle problems, made his first appearance of the season for the Dons as a substitute in the 0-0 draw with Burnley on Saturday.
