Akinbiyi stays focused for Palace

Ade Akinbiyi insists that he won't be thinking about his former club Wolves when Crystal Palace attempt to ruin West Brom's promotion dream.

Palace can condemn the Baggies to the play-offs, and help Wolves into the Premiership if they win at The Hawthorns on Sunday.

Wolves fans have already sent Akinbiyi messages of encouragement, begging him to do them a favour in memory of his 16 goals in 36 games at Molineux three seasons ago.

However, the former Leicester striker said: "People keep telling me I should be doing Wolves a favour, but that's not really fair. I'm a Crystal Palace player now and that's all I'm thinking about.

"I want to score goals for Palace and for myself and that's the way I'll be thinking at The Hawthorns.

"I'd love to see Wolves go up. I still have feelings for the club, but that won't mean anything on Sunday."

Palace will be without Dougie Freedman (hamstring), Steve Thomson (cut foot) and Simon Rodger (hamstring). Julian Gray is also doubtful and Andrejs Rubins could take his place.
