Alan Shearer has Chris Gunter in his sights

Alan Shearer wants Chris Gunter to be part of his Geordie revolution.

Shearer, still negotiating his own future, has told owner Mike Ashley that signing Welsh international Gunter is a priority this summer.

Gunter has been made available by Spurs boss Harry Redknapp and will cost Shearer £3million.

Meanwhile, Vedran Corluka expects Croatia team-mate Darijo Srna, who also plays in defence, to join him at Tottenham next season.

Corluka said: "I know that Redknapp is keen on Srna and would not be surprised if Tottenham go for him."
