All change for Woodward's men

Chris Jones13 April 2012

A crowd of more than 55,000 will watch a new-look England team take on the Barbarians at Twickenham on 26 May after coach Clive Woodward was forced to announce a revised squad.

Just 15 of Woodward's original 27-man party remain thanks to injury and the demands of the World Sevens Series on the same weekend.

Lawrence Dallaglio, Iain Balshaw, Mike Tindall and Declan Danaher are all injured while Josh Lewsey, Michael Stephenson, Ben Johnston and Nick Duncombe play in the Sevens.

Outside half Jonny Wilkinson is rested and wing Ben Cohen drops out having already played a maximum 32 games under the England Rugby Limited agreement.

In come Gloucester wing James Simpson-Daniel, Bristol's Phil Christophers, South Africa-born London Irish backs Michael Horak and Geoff Appleford, Leeds wing Dan Scarbrough, Northampton forwards Robbie Morris and Grant Seely, and Newcastle lock Hugh Vyvyan.
