Andy Murray has no intention of playing at next month’s French Open even though he has been included on the entry list.

Murray has not played since last year’s Wimbledon because of injury and underwent surgery on his damaged hip at the start of the year in Australia.

He has long earmarked the Rosmalen grass-court event in the Netherlands in June for his comeback, which is held in the week after Roland Garros finishes.

His team insist plans have not altered for his scheduled return for the grass-court part of the season. The unforgiving nature of clay is considered too risky for the 2016 French Open runner-up as he plots his return to competitive action.
