Anelka poised for City deal

Nicolas Anelka is close to agreeing a £12million move to Manchester City.

City are prepared to offer Paris St Germain £9m, plus Cameroon defender Lucien Mettomo, for the French striker.

Nigerian defender Taribo West wants to join West Ham after the club contacted his UK agent.

West said: "I'm flattered they have shown an interest in me. A move back to the Premiership is top of my agenda and London would be appealing."
