Anelka's staying in France

13 April 2012

French international striker Nicolas Anelka today confirmed he will be staying at Paris St Germain next season.

Anelka has been linked with a move to Italy but said today: "I'm content to stay with PSG and win a title - which I will do."

The 22-year-old left Arsenal in acrimonious circumstances but his move to Real Madrid lasted only one season before he returned to his first club, PSG.

Meanwhile, Arsenal players Patrick Vieira, Thierry Henry, Robert Pires and Sylvain Wiltord have been selected for France's friendly with Portugal in Paris next Wednesday.

Chelsea defender Marcel Desailly is also in the 18-man squad.
