Unsettled: Jose Antonio Reyes

He was due to return to Arsenal this summer but the Spain international insists he does not want to play for the Gunners again.

Reyes could now be offered a permanent move by Atletico, but the two clubs have not agreed on a fee.

The La Liga outfit are hoping to get Reyes on the cheap while Arsenal are holding out for a fee thought to be around £10m.

Atletico's sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch said: "I would like to be very clear in that we have not ruled out signing Reyes for next season."
