£5m Davis is allowed to go

Sean Davis was today given the all-clear to leave Fulham after the club accepted matching offers of more than £5million from Everton and Middlesbrough.

But Fulham manager Chris Coleman says he will not be allowed to go before the club have completed the £2m deal with Sunderland for Claudio Reyna.

The former England Under-21 international handed in a transfer request last week. The midfielder, 23, will miss the start of the season because of a knee ligament injury but is expected to be fit within a fortnight.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Northern Ireland midfielder Michael Hughes on a one-year contract.
