Arjen Robben not drawn by a British return

Staying put: Arjen Robben wants to win silverware with Real Madrid
Simon Johnson13 April 2012

Arjen Robben has insisted he is not interested in a return to the Premier League and wants to help Real Madrid win trophies in the Spanish capital instead.

Robben, who joined Real from Chelsea for £24million in 2007, has been linked with a move to Manchester City this summer because the Spanish giants are planning a mass clear-out.

The 25-year-old has shown flashes of great form this season, but has been unable to prevent Madrid from failing in the title race and the Champions League.

He is, however, determined to stay and make up for his average form next season and said: "I want to continue in Madrid because I am content at this club.

"This year I have played better than the past but I can still do it better. I want to help this club gain titles."
