Stoke and West Brom role are locked in a battle to sign England keeper Scott Carson.
Carson, 22, wants to start afresh after Aston Villa's decision not to sign him permanently from Liverpool in an £8m deal.

Meanwhile, Albion are also considering a £2m move for the Charlton striker Marcus Bent to replace Kevin Phillips.
