Barthez: Sent off just before half-time

Fabien Barthez hit out at referee Pierluigi Collina after he cost Marseille the chance of glory in Gothenburg by being sent off shortly before half time in the UEFA Cup Final against Valencia.
Marseille coach Jose Anigo admitted Collina had no option but to dismiss the former Manchester United keeper after he brought down Mista. Rodriguez Vicente converted the penalty and Mista secured a 2-0 win for Valencia in the 57th minute.
Barthez said: "Collina wasted the party. The penalty was right but sending me off ruined the game."
