Baxter to appeal IOC decision

British skier Alain Baxter has announced he will appeal against the International Olympic Committee's decision to strip him of his bronze medal.

Baxter today confirmed he would be taking his case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland. The Scot won Britain's firstever Olympic alpine medal when he finished third in the slalom at the Salt Lake City Games but he was forced to hand it back after failing a post-race drugs test.
