Bayern fearing 'hell' at Highbury

14 April 2012

Felix Magath today claimed his Bayern Munich side were in for a hellish night in the second leg of their Champions League clash at Highbury next Wednesday.

Bayern cruised into a 3-0 lead but conceded a late goal to give Arsenal a faint hope of reaching the quarter-finals.

Manager Magath said: "It is our own fault. We will now face a sort of hell in London. Arsenal are well capable of scoring three or four goals. Nobody knows if they will perform as badly [as they did at the Olympiastadion] again. That is why I am mad about the goal we let in."

However, Magath's side could not be in better form after winning 7-0 in the German Cup quarter-final against Freiburg last night.

Claudio Pizarro, who netted twice against Arsenal, hit four goals in the cup game, notching up his hat-trick before half-time.
