Bergkamp ready to start

14 April 2012

Arsene Wenger will bring Dennis Bergkamp back to the starting line-up for Sunday's home clash with Newcastle but has conceded that the title may already be in the bag for Chelsea.

If Jose Mourinho's men beat Portsmouth on Saturday, Arsenal will start their match 24 hours later 13 points behind the leaders.

Wenger, whose side lost 1-0 at Bolton on Saturday with Bergkamp a substitute for the last 24 minutes, said: "It does not look as though Chelsea will slip up. They are in an ideal position.

"It is too early to say they will never lose points - but they do not look vulnerable at the moment. The title remains a dream when you don't win games. We lacked determination in the final third and we did not show great security in our defending."

Wenger will also bring Cameroon international right back Lauren back into his line-up against Newcastle .

Lauren has been out with a knee problem since the 1-0 win at Newcastle in late December but is now back in full training and will replace England Under-21 international Justin Hoyte.

With Edu's future in the balance over a new contract and Mathieu Flamini (thigh) and Gilberto Silva (back) injured, Wenger may bring in a midfielder on loan for the rest of the season.
