Bevan set for Kent debut

13 April 2012

Former Australia batsman Michael Bevan will make his Kent debut in tomorrow's Frizzell County Championship clash with Middlesex at Southgate.

Bevan, previously with Sussex, is a replacement for Andrew Symonds, who has returned home for treatment on an achilles injury. Lining up for the hosts will be his former Australia team-mate Glenn McGrath.

Sussex, meanwhile, eased their relegation fears with victory over Kent.

Surrey continue their fight against one-day relegation against Northants today. Today: Frizzell County Championship, Div 2 - Leicester: Leics 93-1 (19 overs) v Durham.

Totesport League, Div 1 - Old Trafford: Lancashire v Warwicks (4.10). The Oval: Surrey v Northants (1.00).
