Big Sam wants Rivaldo decision

Sam Allardyce is on the verge of giving up his bid to attract Rivaldo to Bolton and he has warned the Brazil playmaker to make up his mind after a month of indecision.

Celtic are also interested in Rivaldo - and Allardyce is running out of patience.

"If it is about a money move, I don't really want him anyway," said the Bolton boss.

"It has got to be about a football move for him in the best division in the world now.

"I think he is doing what most Brazilians do - they have too many advisors to begin with.

"That makes it a lot more difficult for the player to make his mind up and I am not sure where it lies any more with Rivaldo.

"We cannot wait forever. I suspect the main reason is there are bigger packages elsewhere.

"You might have thought we could go the extra little bit but we can't."
