Big shots snap the beautiful game

14 April 2012

Photographs taken by some of the biggest names in football are to go on display in central London.

The open-air exhibition - The Other Side of Football - of exclusive and highly-personal pictures were taken by more than 100 of Europe's finest players and personalities, including Thierry Henry, Sol Campbell, Wayne Rooney, Andriy Shevchenko and Francesco Totti.

The idea, conceived by Canon to raise awareness and funds for the Red Cross, aims to show a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the beautiful game.

The exhibition opens on Wednesday, May 25, at the London Eye (South Bank of the River Thames, opposite Big Ben) and runs until the end of July.

The collection will also go on sale as a limited-edition coffee table book, with all profits going to the Red Cross.
