Brits seeking horse sense

British team manager Derek Ricketts was hoping to gain valuable information concerning his European Championship equatrian team as they lined up for today's Samsung Nations Cup at Hickstead.
The team is Nick Skelton (Arko III), Scott Smith (Cabri d'Elle), Richard Davenport (Luc) and Robert Smith (Mr Springfield).
Mark Armstrong, riding Graf Gold, was second in the British Grand Prix behind Frenchman Reynald Angot on Tlaloc.
