Brown wants to be permanent fixture

13 April 2012

Defender Wayne Brown has asked Watford manager Gianluca Vialli to give him a permanent contract.

The 24-year-old Brown scored twice in the 3-0 win over Coventry on Saturday and is desperate to make his loan move from Ipswich permanent.

He said: "I would love to be part of this squad and I would be gutted if I didn't sign. Things are going in the right direction and I want to have my future sorted out.

"Time is running out and I need regular first-team football. I'm too good a player to sit on the bench."

Brown has made just one appearance for Ipswich this season, and spent time on loan at Queens Park Rangers and Wimbledon before moving to Vicarage Road.
