Bruce fed up with Bak's delay tactics

13 April 2012

Steve Bruce has urged Polish transfer target Arkadiusz Bak to waste no more time in making a decision about a proposed £300,000 move to Crystal Palace.

The Eagles manager thought an agreement had been finalised with the Polonia Warsaw playmaker last weekend only for last-minute problems to delay the deal, and Bruce accused the player and his agent of stalling over the move.

Bruce said: "We had further discussions on Monday with Bak's agent and I gave him an ultimatum. We cannot keep waiting on him.

"It's very frustrating and the deal seems farther away now than ever. I was very hopeful at one point but things keep coming up.

"First his club wanted him for a UEFA Cup game and now I understand there are problems with his wife. It's one obstacle after another."
