Brush: I'll take the blame

Leyton Orient manager Paul Brush took responsibility for Saturday's 4-1 home defeat to Cheltenham.

Orient conceded four goals in a 19-minute spell during the first half in what Brush admitted was a "dire" performance.

Brush was barracked by a section of the Brisbane Road crowd but was more hurt by the feeble efforts of his players.

He said: "If they give me stick and leave the players alone then it's okay. The crowd are right to be frustrated. The players are better than that but I take the blame.

"It hurts. The whole team were dire and deserved to get punished. My players have a lot to prove in training this week."
